What Changed and Why
Why did Qapital transition to focus on Portfolios?
Investing requires a different mindset than saving. While savings goals are driven mainly by your deposits, investment balances can fluctuate with the market. Instead of focusing on a target amount you can’t fully control, this evolution of Qapital Invest focuses on what you can control: your portfolio strategy, risk level, and consistent contributions over time. Viewing investments by Portfolio also makes it easier to understand your allocation and overall performance.
Your Balance and Performance
My balance looks different than I expected. What happened?
Your total invested balance is unchanged by this update. However, you are now seeing one unified number for each investment strategy (e.g., Conservative or Aggressive) where you previously saw several individual Goal balances within a strategy. If after checking the total something still does not seem right, please review your statements and trade confirmations in the app or at my.qapital.com. If you still have questions, contact our support team in-app.
How do I see how my investments are performing now?
Your Portfolio view shows your total balance and overall performance in one place. You can see your returns, contribution history, and current allocation from the Invest tab in the app.
Can I still track progress toward a specific investment goal?
Not in the same way Invest Goals allowed. Each Portfolio is organized around your allocation and overall balance rather than a named goal.
Thinking About Your Money Differently
How do I stay motivated without named Invest Goals?
Connecting your money to something meaningful is an important way to stay engaged with your financial journey. With Portfolios, progress is measured differently. Rather than focusing on “how close am I to my target?”, the emphasis shifts to the investing habits you can control — choosing an investment strategy that fits your goals, contributing consistently, and making sure your risk level still aligns with your life stage and priorities.
What is risk tolerance and why does it matter?
Risk comfort, also known as risk tolerance, is the willingness to take risk based on the investments you select. It is shaped by your time horizon, financial goals, and personality.
